Driver for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Conejo Valley Transit – Ventura County & North Los Angeles County
$13 - $15 an hour - Full-time, Part-time
Conejo Valley Transportation is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company specializing in wheelchair and ambulatory services and primarily serving the Conejo Valley in Ventura County and North Los Angeles County California. CVT has been in business since 2017 and is currently expanding. Our mission is to provide the best possible customer service and experience to every patient regardless of socioeconomic status, age, race or gender.
We’re looking for experienced, dependable, and courteous drivers for both full-time and part-time positions transporting wheelchair and ambulatory patients. We are also looking for experienced gurney drivers for part time and full-time positions. Drivers are responsible for transporting patients and persons with varying disabilities to appointments and other treatments facilities, in a timely, polite, and attentive manner.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain clear and consistent communication between Passengers, Dispatch, and Treatment Facilities, e.g. schedule adjustments, patient status updates, incidents, etc.
Build and maintains positive and professional working relationships with co-workers, patients, treatment facilities personnel, and the general public.
Act as Conejo Valley Transit brand ambassador by providing excellent customer service, exercising good judgement, and displaying compassion at all times.
Perform routes with both accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspection prior to beginning route and at the end of the shift.
Operate internet-connected, GPS-enabled device such as smartphone or tablet in order to maintain communication and determine most efficient routes.
Adapt driving style to current weather conditions.
Manage frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and adaptive manner.
Observe CVT’s safety and security procedures at all times.
Obey all state traffic laws at all times.
Must speak and understand English well.
Professional, Responsible and Compassionate manner
Current and valid California driver's license - Class C
Must pass a criminal background check & mandatory random drug and alcohol screening
Must have a clean driving record (No more than 1 point in the last 3 yrs.)
Must have at least 1 year of passenger-driving experience
Organized, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
Big plus to have:
Experience working with the elderly and handicapped
Experience working for non-emergency medical transportation
